M7.4 Blog about your local environmental services

Review your local (city or county) health department's website and list the services that you would consider Environmental Health Services. 
In your BLOG, note the environmental health services.

The services specifically mentioned on the website are: 
Residential Garbage & Recycling 
Commercial garbage & recycling 
Construction and demolition debris
Urban runoff pollution prevention
Green business resources 
Resident Resources 

For example some resident resources are: alternative transportation, energy and conservation efficiency, water efficiency and conservation, gardening and compositing resources, sustainability education, etc. 

I think all of them are considered environmental health services. It is really cool to see that Santa Clara is making strides at providing a more environmentally safe community for all SC residents.

    I came across this same information because I also live in Santa Clara County. I agree that it's awesome to see our county making positive changes to ensure an environmentally safe community.

    I like how specific each program is. I'd like to believe this is due to the nature of the economy in your county. There are probably a lot of construction businesses, which would prompt the creation of programs to handle their waste.
